First year Chloe Lamenzo earned All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors in three sports over the course of the 2017-18 academic year, earning Earlham’s nomination for the 2017-18 HCAC Female Athlete of the Year award.
In women’s soccer, Lamenzo was a First Team All-HCAC selection and the conference’s Freshman of the Year after leading the Quakers with 12 goals and five assists for 29 points. She was ranked third in the HCAC in scoring and second in total points, earning HCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors twice during the 2017 campaign.
During the indoor track and field season, Lamenzo finished as a USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region honoree and a Second Team All-HCAC selection. She was ranked among the top five in the region in the triple jump with a mark of 36-0 3/4 at the DePauw Tiger Small College Indoor Invitational, setting a new Earlham record in the process. Lamenzo was also part of Earlham’s record-setting quartets in the indoor 4 x 200m relay.
Lamenzo capped the season by earning Second Team All-HCAC honors during the outdoor track and field season and setting a new Earlham record in the 4 x 100m relay.
Lamenzo earned HCAC Field Athlete of the Week honors twice in track and field: once during the indoor season, and again in the outdoor campaign.
