ADRIAN, Mich. The Earlham College men's basketball team was defeated by non-conference foe Adrian by a final score of 79-68 in the Quakers' non-conference finale. Despite the loss, Earlham's Elijah Wilson-Thomas became the 26th player in Earlham College men's basketball history to score more than 1,000 points in his career.
Needing just 16 points to cross the 1,000-point threshold, Wilson-Thomas led the Quakers with 19 points. Darrell Hutchison Jr. contributed 16 points and Austin Doliboa finished the game with 14 points and eight rebounds.
Earlham trailed but just one point, 39-38, at the intermission after the Quakers shot 15-34 (44.1%) from the floor. Adrian used a big second half to pull away from the Quakers. Jordan Harris led the Bulldogs (8-2) with 26 points.
EC will return to Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday January 3 at 6 p.m when the Quakers host Transylvania University.
