GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Depauw escapes with an 85-80 win over Earlham at home.

Only slight advantages in shooting gave Depauw the ability to pull through with a five-point win. In the first half Depauw made two more shots from three, and two more free throws than Earlham. The trend continued in the second half. Although Earlham was better within field-goal range, the Tigers topped them from the charity strip and the three-point distance.

Earlham's offense looked for matchups with Depauw's post players. Their best success was in the paint, where they scored 44 of their 80 points.

The Quaker's defense really stepped up to cause disruption in Depauw's offense. They forced the Tigers to turn the ball over 19 times, earning 26 points off of those turnovers.

Jamel Barnes lead the offense efforts of the team with 16 points, followed by Qawi Rucker with 14 points. Both Barnes and Tarig Eldosugi pulled down seven rebounds to account for 14 of Earlhams 32 total rebounds. Kenneth Stallking Jr. accounted for five steals on the day.

Kalamazoo is Earlham's next opponent, and they will match up on December 20 at 11:30am.
