Men's Golf Concludes First HCAC Championships in Seventh Place

TERRE HAUTE, Indiana – The Earlham College men's golf team concluded its inaugural Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships with a seventh place finish on Sunday.

The Quakers finished the four-round tournament with a team score of 1,294 strokes. Transylvania University won its 11th consecutive HCAC championship with a team score of 1,197 strokes.

Individually, freshman Graham Sherard carded a round of 77 on Sunday and finished the tournament in 20th place. Rob Canady of Transylvania won medalist honors with three consecutive rounds of 72 or better.

Fellow freshmen Patrick Wright and Jared Birr both turned in scorecards of 80 on the final round of competition.
