THE SHORT STORY: Earlham College goalie Blake Francis charted 22 saves for the Quakers but Transylvania University had too much offensive for the Maroon and White and Earlham fell to Transy, 26-0, in a Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference game on Wednesday night at Pat Deacon Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • 16 different players scored for Transylvania, and the Pioneers were up 10-0 after the first quarter and 15-0 at the intermission.
  • The Pioneers tacked on six more goals in the third quarter and five in the fourth.

QUICK FACTS

  • Transylvania had a 77-4 advantage in shots, and recorded 62 ground balls to Earlham's 17.
