Men's tennis overpowers Ohio Northern, 8-1

LIMA, Ohio – Earlham College men's tennis swept all six singles matches to complete an 8-1 non-conference road victory over Ohio Northern, Wednesday evening at the Westwood Tennis Center.

The Quakers captured nos. 2 and 3 doubles to open the match, including a 9-8 triumph at no. 2 doubles by the tandem of Aleksandr Sergeev and Jason Lawson.

Earlham dominated the Polar Bears in singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Vojislav Tatarevic and Jason Lawson had the most convincing performances at no. 3 and no. 6 singles respectively, with each dropping just two games in their wins. Tatarevic posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory over ONU's Connor Christian, while Lawson recorded a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Cody Hurley at sixth-flight singles.

The win was the seventh straight victory for Earlham men's tennis. The Quakers head to Hanover, Ind., on Saturday, March 31, to face Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Hanover College.
