RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College men's tennis will head to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament for the eighth straight year, when the tournament begins play on Friday, May 4, at the West Indy Racquet Club in Indianapolis.

The second-seeded Quakers earned a bye into Saturday's semifinal match, and will play the winner of Friday's Opening Round game between Hanover College and Transylvania University. Saturday's semifinal will start at 4:00 p.m., with the other semifinal matchup between top-seeded Rose-Hulman and the winner of the Manchester-Franklin match also starting at 4:00 p.m.

Earlham will be looking for its fifth HCAC championship in program history, and its first since the 2013-14 season. The Quakers dropped a 5-2 decision to Rose-Hulman in last season's championship match; a return to the title match would likely involve a rematch with the Engineers, who earned the number one seed after going 7-0 in HCAC play.

A semifinal win would also make the 2017-18 season a benchmark campaign for Earlham men's tennis.

The Quakers finished the regular season with a 19-4 overall record, matching the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons for the most wins in program history. A 20th victory in the HCAC semis would give this year's squad that record outright.
