Lawson bows out after a win and a loss at ITA Central Region tourney

ST. LOUIS – Earlham College men's tennis junior Jason Lawson won his first consolation match of the day before bowing out in the consolation semifinals, during Saturday action at the .S. Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Central Region Championship, hosted by Washington University (Mo.) at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center.

Lawson posted a 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 win over Ohio Wesleyan's Billy Lewis in the first round consolation match in the UTR A bracket. He advanced to face Denison's Julian Janczak in the consolation semifinals, where he dropped a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 decision.
