Women's Basketball Falls at W&J

WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Earlham College women's basketball team closed out its season-opening tournament with a 76-61 loss to host Washington & Jefferson College on Saturday afternoon.

The Presidents led 37-23 at halftime and extended their lead to over 20 points after three quarters. The Quakers did rebound to win the fourth quarter 21-16.

Senior Hannah Franklin led Earlham with 18 points while freshman Shannon Pittman added nine points, three assists, and two steals. Freshmen Camryn White and Amy Weisner each tallied seven points.

Danielle Parker led the way for W&J with 16 points while Alyssa Riley added 14.

The Quakers return to action next Sunday for a non-conference game against the Ladies of Kenyon College.
