LIBERTY, Ind. – Earlham College junior Hannah Toresdahl was the top Quaker on the individual scoreboard following Saturday's first 18 holes of the Earlham Fall Invitational, held at the Liberty Country Club.
Toresdahl fired an 88 (+18) in Saturday's first round and was tied for 19th on the leaderboard. Emma Wilkins was three strokes back with a 91 (+21) and was tied for 26th, while Megan Garner carded a 100 (+30) and was tied for 36th overall.
Earlham has three individuals in the tournament, who also completed Saturday's opening round. Myra Robinson shot a 112 (+42), while Natalija Ljutic posted a 120 (+50) and Brittney Chong fired a 128 (+58).
Transylvania's Meredith Moir sits atop the individual leaderboard with a six-over 76, and holds a five-stroke lead over her nearest competitor.
Transy also leads the field of 10 teams for the Earlham Fall Invitational with a 321 (+41). The Pioneers have an eight-stroke lead over second-place Rose-Hulman (329, +49).
Sunday's second and final round begins with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start at the par 70, 5800-yard Liberty Country Club.
