THE SHORT STORY: The Earlham College women's golf team completed the first round of the 2019 College of Wooster Spring Invitational in 13th place, after carding a 407 on Saturday at the Mohican Hills Golf Club.

OFF THE TEE

  • Megan Garner led the Quakers with an 88 (+16) and completed the round tied for 32nd overall in the field of 95 golfers. Denison's Emmy Timberlake and Wooster's Tongtong Wu were tied for the lead after carding a 78 (+6) over the first 18 holes.
  • Earlham fired a 407 on Saturday and were 13th out of 14 teams on the leaderboard. The Quakers are 10 strokes back of 12th-place Heidelberg, who posted a 397 on Saturday. Denison leads the field with a 328, and holds a one-stroke lead over second-place Otterbein.
