RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College sophomore Yana Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, after a week in which she tallied four goals and an assist over a pair of Quaker wins.
Miller notched a goal in Earlham's 3-2 road victory over Brescia University on Friday evening, and followed up with three goals and one assist in the Quakers' 7-0 rout over St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.
The hat trick was the first of her career, and the game-winning goal against the Pomeroys was her second career game winner.
The HCAC weekly honor is the first of Miller's career.
Earlham returns home for its next two contests. The Maroon and White will host Wilmington College (Ohio) on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 3:30 p.m. at Matlack-Messer Field, followed by a Homecoming non-conference tilt with Principia College on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 1:00 p.m.
