Women's Tennis Shows Improvement in Loss to Mount St. Joseph

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Earlham College women's tennis team fell 9-0 to Mount St. Joseph University in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action at the EC Tennis Courts on Wednesday.

In doubles, sophomore Chloe Culler and junior Kaitlin Morgan lost a first doubles match to Morgan Hoehn and Kristina Staley 8-0 while junior Arrita Domi and sophomore Wei-Yung Liu lost to Kelsey Knodel and Alicia Gallegos-Ayala 8-4 and second doubles. Junior Lexi Aligarbes and sophomore Megan Howell lost to Hannah Williams and Hannah Broermann at third doubles.

In singles, Morgan got close to Kristina Staley, but ultimately lost 6-2 in both sets in a second singles match. Aligarbes nearly won in her second singles set, but ultimately lost that 6-3 to MSJ's Hannah Williams at third singles.

Earlham will close out its HCAC schedule on Saturday against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. First serve is scheduled for noon.
