Women's Tennis Wins Third Doubles in Season Finale Loss to Thomas More

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team won third doubles in the season's final match as the Quakers fell to Thomas More College 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

Junior Ziqi Wang and sophomore Wei-Yung Liu triumphed over Madison Light and Grace Lubbe for their first win of the year as a partnership. The Saints won first and second doubles 8-1.

In singles, Liu fell to Sarah Hastings 6-2, 6-3 at sixth singles. Sophomore Chloe Culler fell 6-1, 6-1 to Nicole Capodagli at fourth singles. Juniors Lexi Aligarbes and Megan Howell along with sophomore Robyn Thomas won a game in their singles matches. Thomas More won first singles 6-0, 60.

The Quakers conclude their 2016 season at 0-16 and 0-8 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play.
