MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – Earlham College women's tennis won four singles matches and one doubles match on the court and picked up three more points through defaults, and rolled to an 8-0 win over Miami-Middletown on Tuesday evening.
Yunjoo Shin posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory at her no. 2 singles match over Liezl Romero, for the most lop-sided victory of the day. Anna Hahn was a 6-0, 6-1 victor at no. 1 singles over Sara Snyder, while Abby Stewart and Alexandra Swank each prevailed at no. 3 and no. 4 singles in straight sets.
Hahn and Shin teamed up at no. 1 doubles for an 8-2 triumph over Snyder/Romero. The no. 2 doubles match involving the Earlham tandem of Stewart and Swank was unfinished due to weather.
Earlham women's tennis returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 4, when it faces crosstown opponent I.U.-East. Start time for the match is slated for 3:30 p.m.
