Women’s tennis drops 7-2 decision at Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ind. – Earlham College women's tennis picked up a pair of victories in singles play in a 7-2 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference loss to Franklin College, Saturday afternoon at the Mickel-Hoover Tennis Complex.

First year Anna Hahn recorded her 10th singles victory of the season with a 3-6, 6-2, 10-4 triumph over Karen Dringenburg at no. 1 singles. The Quakers' other victory of the day came at no. 5 singles where first year Alex Swank notched a 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 win over Brianna Hutton.

Junior Lan Phan gave the Grizzlies' Tapanga Gauck a tough challenge at no. 6 singles, eventually falling 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 4-10.

Earlham closes out its fall regular season slate on Tuesday, Oct. 16, when it hosts Transylvania University at 4:00 p.m. at the EC Tennis Courts.
