RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College women's tennis picked up a pair of singles victories, but still dropped a 7-2 decision to Transylvania University on Tuesday evening at the EC Tennis Courts.
Earlham first year Anna Hahn picked up her 11th singles win of her rookie campaign with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Transy's Porsche Robinson. The Quakers picked up their second point of the day at no. 6 singles, where first year Alexandra Swank notched a 6-3, 6-2 win over the Pioneers' Reagan Jobe.
Despite the setback versus Transylvania, the Quakers qualified for the six-team Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championship which starts Friday at the West Indy Racquet Club. Sixth-seeded Earlham will face Franklin College in Friday's first round, in a match slated to start at 6:00 p.m.
