COLUMBUS, Ohio – First year Chloe Lamenzo finished second overall in the 60m dash to highlight Earlham College women's track results at Saturday's Jessica Starks Open hosted at the Capital University Field House.
Lamenzo was sixth in the preliminaries with a time of 8.31 seconds, then posted a season-best time of 8.21 seconds in the event final.
Lamenzo also turned in a second-place finish in the triple jump, with a mark of 10.55m (34-7 3/8). In the long jump, Kassidy West placed sixth with a leap of 4.58m (15 3/8), while pole vaulter Annalee Wilson was tied for third after clearing the bar at 3.05m (10-0).
Ana Sosa-Ebert was sixth in the Mile Run with a time of 5:38.16, while Jasmine Lorenzana was two places behind in eighth after clocking 5:43.67. Both times were an improvement over the top Earlham time in the event this season.
Earlham women's track will travel to DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., next Friday, Feb . 2, to compete in the Tiger Small College Invitational.
