RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College senior Aishat Sadiq has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 27, 2019, following her performances for the Quakers at Saturday's College of Wooster Fighting Scots Invitational.
Sadiq won the 60m dash with a time of 8.08 seconds – fastest 60m time in the HCAC this season. She also took second place in the 200m dash with a mark of 27.82.
In the relay events, Sadiq ran a leg for Earlham's first-place team in the 4 x 200m relay, which posted a time of 1:49.34.
Altogether, Sadiq contributed to 28 of Earlham's 115 points on the day between her individual and relay events. Earlham finished fourth out of six teams in the meet.
The Earlham College track and field teams will be back on the track next Saturday, Feb. 2, when they travel to Denison University to compete in the Bob Shannon Invitational.
