Women's volleyball falls in three sets to Marian University

RICHMOND, Ind.- Quakers suffer a loss to the Marian University Knights.

Errors are what put the Quakers behind initially in the first set, but the inability to earn points kept them there.  Earlham struggled to get going offensively, and Marian held the Quakers' best hitters to minimum kill percentages. Ashleigh Burton and Sarah Dickman, the two players that have lead the team in kills in the last few matches had .000 and -.077 percentages respectively. Rafaella Shima led the team in kills with 11.

Earlham's biggest difficulty was returning the Knights serves. They allowed nine service aces to Earlham's four. Defensively, the back row was fielding attacks all night. No Quaker had double-digit digs, but four of Earlham's athletes had at least four digs.

The Quakers will be celebrating homecoming weekend with a double header at home on Saturday, September 22 against Waynesburg at 2:00pm and Central State University at 6:00pm.
