Cross Country To Compete in NCAA Regionals on Saturday


RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College cross country teams travel to Hope College for the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Cross Country Regionals at West Ottawa Golf Club in Holland, Mich., on Saturday.

The women will compete in a six-kilometer race at 11 a.m. while the men's eight-kilometer race will follow at approximately noon.

Both Quakers' teams finished sixth at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships last weekend.

For the women, sophomore Rachel Wilkins earned All-HCAC honors with a ninth place finish and a time of 25:11.21. Senior Kellan Steele and sophomore Victoria Trezona both finished in the top 25.

For the men, senior Gabriel Penk also earned All-HCAC honors after a fifth place finish at the HCAC Championships. He finished the eight-kilometer race in 26:42.07.

The NCAA Division III National Championships, featuring qualifying teams and individuals from the Great Lakes Regional, will take place on Nov. 19 in Louisville, Ky..  Qualifiers are scheduled be listed on the NCAA website on Sunday (Nov. 13) at 1 p.m.
