The 1952 Earlham College men’s tennis team finished the season as the Hoosier Conference Champions, who were unbeaten in the league. Overall, the team was 10-2 with both losses to Dayton.
Jim Alexander posted the best mark as an individual with a 9-2 record. John Zavitz and Jerry O’Dell had 8-3 records. In doubles, the player with the best record in those matches was Thorpe Lichtenberg, who was 9-3.
The team members were Jim Alexander, Thorpe Lichtenberg, Jerry O’Dell, John Zavitz and Dick Strittmater. The coach was Merle Rousey.
