Chad Gartin started 40 straight contests for the Earlham College football team at linebacker from 1993-96. Gartin was All-North Coast Athletic Conference Second Team as a senior. He was All-NCAC Honorable Mention as a sophomore and a junior. He was selected as the NCAC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 2, 1996.
 
Gartin was Earlham's Co-Most Valuable Player in 1996 and was the team's Defensive MVP from 1994-96 after earning the Rookie of the Year in 1993.
 
A two-year team captain, Gartin led the Quakers in tackles all four of his seasons and set an Earlham record with 478 career stops.
 
He majored in economics at Earlham and currently lives in Cicero, Ind.
