Perhaps the most rounded of Earlham athletes in school history, Clifford Dickman won 16 varsity letters during his college playing career (four in each football, basketball, baseball and track). Dickman, who served as mayor of Richmond from 1976 to 1983, was also the owner of Kessler’s Sport Shops. He is almost as well known for his 36 years of officiating for a variety of high school sports in the Richmond area.
