Earlham College

John Loose, a member of highly successful football teams in the early 1960s, is receiving special recognition from the Earlham Athletics Hall of Fame.

A honorary lifetime member of the Earlham Board of Trustees, Loose was the lead donor on the Darrell Beane Football Stadium project and is an ardent supporter of Earlham athletics.

He and his wife, Jane Souder Loose ’64, were also key supporters of the campaigns to build Landrum Bolling Center and the Athletics and Wellness Center. Loose was the chairman of Earlham’s recent $68 million capital campaign that will result in improved facilities for the sciences and visual and performing arts and the strengthening of endowment.
