Karim Hammad was one of the most decorated runners in cross country and track during his time at Earlham College.
In 1989, Hammad was named the Most Outstanding First-year for cross country. As a senior, he was selected as Earlham’s Co-Most Outstanding Runner and was All-North Coast Athletic Conference First Team. He finished fourth in the conference championship race in 1992.
In track, Hammad was named the Most Outstanding First-Year after earning All-NCAC honors during the indoor season and was the mile champion. He was All-NCAC in the outdoor 1,500-meter run. In 1992, Hammad was All-NCAC indoor and the 1,500-meter run champion.
Hammad, who was an art major at Earlham, is an architect working in San Francisco.
