Earlham College

Kathryn “Bud” Weber joined the Earlham faculty in 1936 as a member of the physical education department. “Bud” served the college as the director of the women’s physical education department from 1949 until she retired in 1973. During her tenure as a student she was recognized as one of the best female athletes at Earlham. The Kathryn “Bud” Weber Senior Scholar Athlete Award was established in her honor in 1976. In 1980, the swimming pool was named for her.
