Kim Thorn Overman was a two-sport athlete at Earlham participating in basketball and track. She was a 4-year starter on the basketball team and is second on the all-time scoring list with 1,662 points. She earned All-Hoosier Conference for Women First Team honors twice. In her final two basketball seasons, she was All-North Coast Athletic Conference Honorable Mention. As a senior, she received the Kiwanis Club of Richmond Player of the Year and was the team’s Most Valuable Player.
She was on the track team for three seasons earning all-conference honorable mention twice. She received the George Van Dyke Award during her senior year.
After leaving Earlham, she became a science teacher and has coached basketball, cross country and track. She is married to former Earlham men’s basketball player Spanky Overman.
