Earlham College

Roy Schuckman was associated with Earlham College for 50 years and received Special Recognition from the Earlham Athletics Hall of Fame for his service. Over his five decades at Earlham, Schuckman was a student, alumni secretary, placement director, foreign student advisor, editor of the Earlhamite and financial aid director. In his last 10 years, he worked in the college relations as a special assistant to the president. Schuckman also received the Alumni Council’s Special Appreciation Award in 1990 and the Earlham’s Alumni Association Recognition Award in 1991. In 1996, the women’s basketball team created the Roy and Marilyn Schuckman Mental Attitude Award. In conjunction with the opening of the Athletics and Wellness Center in 1999, the basketball court was named in his honor.
