RICHMOND, Ind. – For the second time this season, Earlham College junior Nate Mynatt has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week, following his performance at last weekend's Earlham College Men's Spring Invitational.
Mynatt fired a one-over 71 in Friday's first round of the rain-shortened Earlham Spring Invite at the Richmond Elks Lodge & Country Club. The round was the lowest of his career, and he led the Quakers to a team round of 296 and the tournament championship.
The honor is the second HCAC weekly award in program history, and the second this season for Mynatt. He was named HCAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week earlier this spring on March 26, 2019, following his performance in the Mount St. Joseph Invitational.
Earlham men's golf begins competition this weekend in the 2019 HCAC Men's Golf Tournament, with the first two rounds taking place at the University Club in Lexington, Ky.
