Men's Soccer Shutout at Home Against Rose-Hulman

RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's soccer team's offense was stifled in a 2-0 loss to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Wednesday.

Rose-Hulman's Austin Webb and Ben Lyon scored both goals in the first 20 minutes including one at the 5:05 mark and the second in the 17th minute. The Fightin' Engineers, who held the Quakers scoreless in both meetings in 2015, road the two-goal lead to victory.

Earlham took six shots in the contest compared to ten for Rose-Hulman. The Quakers managed one shot on goal, off of the foot from Micah Roland, with the Engineers took three shots. Both goalkeepers made one save.

Earlham dips to 5-5-0 overall and 1-1-0 on HCAC competition. The Quakers return to action on Saturday against Mount St. Joseph University. Kickoff from Matlack Field is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
