Men’s soccer upended by Wilmington (Ohio)

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Earlham College men's soccer came up short against Wilmington College (Ohio) on Wednesday night, dropping a 4-0 decision at Williams Stadium.

Niklas Martensson scored three goals for the Ohio Quakers, while Benny Spirk tacked on a fourth goal.

Wilmington outshot Earlham, 18-1, and registered six corner kicks to Earlham's one.

Nicola Manni and Henry Wildes split the 90 minutes in the Earlham goal, with Wildes recording the only save of the night for the Maroon and White. Wilmington keepers Felix Maurer and Ethan Butcher did not record a save.

Earlham returns home for its next contest on Saturday, Sept. 22, when it hosts Illinois Wesleyan in a 3:30 p.m. matchup.
