Men’s soccer falls to Trine in season opener, 1-0

RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College men's soccer emerged on the short end of a one-goal game against visiting Trine University, falling to the Thunder, 1-0, on Friday evening at Matlack-Messer Field.

Trine scored the game's lone goal when Nooh Aljabaly beat Earlham keeper Colin Kaurich in the 72nd minute in a penalty kick.

Friday night's contest was part of the annual Raven-Quaker Classic tournament, co-hosted by Earlham and Anderson University. Anderson defeated Emory & Henry College, 3-0, in Friday's other tournament matchup.

Earlham will wrap-up tournament play on Saturday, Aug. 31, when it hosts Emory & Henry at 3:00 p.m. on Matlack-Messer Field.
