WILMINGTON, Ohio – Earlham College men's soccer took a 5-0 setback at Wilmington College in a non-conference game on Wednesday at Williams Stadium.

The Ohio Quakers on the scoreboard in the game's sixth minute on a shot from 16 yards out by Michael Owusu. Wilmington added goals in the 17th and 24th minutes from Zach Burgmeister and Ian Molfenter to take a 3-0 lead as the contest reached the midway point of the first half.

Elorm Dogbey tacked on insurance goals in the 24th and 44th minute to give Wilmington a 5-0 advantage at the half.

Wilmington outshot Earlham, 26-3, with 11 corner kicks to Earlham's three. Earlham keeper Henry Wildes got the start and allowed all five first half goals while recording three saves. Reserve Colin Kaurich came on in the second half and made four saves for the Maroon and White.

Earlham men's soccer returns to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 14, when the squad travels to Elsah, Illinois, to face Principia College. Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m.
