Men's Tennis Defeated by DePauw

GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Earlham College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision at DePauw University on Wednesday evening.

Senior Jack Ventura-Cruess and Vitalii Stadnyk came close to winning their first doubles flight over Dan Rodefeld and Alec Kaczkowski. Coming into the match at 4-0 on the season, Ventura-Cruess and Stadnyk found themselves trailing 7-2, but battled back to 7-6 and on serve. Unfortunately for the Quakers, Stadnyk was broken and the Tigers took the match.

Sophomore Vojislav Tatarevic and freshman Nicola Manni fell 8-4 to Harold Martin and Nate Wallace at third doubles while sophomore Adam Schwartz and freshman Adarsh Singh fell 8-0 at second doubles.

The Tigers won all six singles flights in straight sets.

The Quakers return to action on March 5 for a 9 a.m. match against Wooster.
