RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College tennis team travels to the College of Wooster for a tri-match on Saturday. The Quakers will face host Wooster at 9 a.m. and Hundington College at 4 p.m.
The Teams: Earlham, Wooster, and Hundington. The Quakers are 2-3 on the season and most recently lost at regionally-ranked DePauw on Feb. 24. The Fighting Scots are 3-2 on the season and also lost at DePauw. The Foresters are 4-9 on the season.
The Coaches: Justin Roe is in his second season as head men's tennis coach at Earlham. He led the Quakers to an 11-10 record last season and a berth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament finals. Zachary Hasenyager is in his first season as head coach at his alma mater while Kreg Eckert is in his fifth season as head coach at Hundington.
The Players: Senior Jack Ventura-Cruess and sophomore Vitalii Stadnyk are 4-1 at first doubles for the Quakers this season. Sophomore Vojislav Tatarevic and freshman Nicola Manni are also off to a good start, sitting with a 3-1 record at third doubles. Titas Bera is Wooster's first singles player and has a 1-4 record at the flight. Joseph Straznicky is the lone senior on the Hundington squad.
