GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Earlham College men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Georgetown College (Ky.) on Friday.
The Quakers dropped all three doubles flights. Sophomore Vitalii Stadnyk and senior Jack Ventura-Cruess dropped a 9-7 decision at first doubles, their second loss of the season. The Tigers won second doubles 8-6 and third doubles 8-3.
Earlham's two victories came at fifth and sixth singles. Sophomore Vojislav Tatarevic, who won his eighth singles match of the season, defeated Austin Colliver 6-4, 6-3. Ventura-Cruess dispatched Kaushik Kalilish 6-3, 6-3.
Georgetown won first, second, and fourth singles in straight sets. Freshman Nicola Manni fell to Ryan Simms 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4).
Earlham looks to rebound against Berea tomorrow (Saturday) at 11 a.m.
