BEREA, Ky. – The Earlham College men's tennis team improved to 5-8 on the year with a 9-0 sweep of Berea on Saturday.
The Quakers won both first and third doubles 8-0. Sophomore Vitalii Stadnyk and senior Jack Ventura-Cruess defeated Joe Deutscher and Clayton Cooper at first doubles while sophomore Vojislav Tatarevic and freshman Nicola Manni swept James Weaver and Dylan Imbus at third doubles. Sophomore Adam Schwartz and freshman Adarsh Singh won 8-1 at second doubles.
Earlham won all six singles flights in straight sets. The most games the Quakers allowed in a singles set was three, coming in the second set of a second singles match.
The Quakers return to action on Wednesday for their home opener against Marietta. Doubles is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
