GREENWOOD, Ind. – Sophomore Vojislav Tatarevic, who helped the Earlham College men's tennis team to a 3-0 record last week, has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week in a release by the conference on Monday.
Tatarevic won three singles matches and three doubles matches as the Quakers opened HCAC play with victories over Defiance, Franklin, and Transylvania. Tatarevic swept Eline Wideman of Defiance 6-0, 6-0 on Wednesday, beat Dan Hicks of Franklin 6-0, 6-1 on Saturday, and edged Luke Groene of Transylvania 7-4, 7-6 (7-0) on Sunday.
Along with partner, freshman Nicola Manni, Tatarevic lost just six games in three doubles victories this past week.
Earlham stands at 9-8 on the year and 3-0 in HCAC competition. The Quakers will face Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday to begin a week of contests at home.
