GREENWOOD, Ind. – Earlham College men's tennis sophomore Vitalii Stadnyk has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week in a release by the conference on Monday.
Stadnyk finished 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles as the Quakers finished 2-1 on the week. Stadnyk lost just two and three games respectively in straight set wins over Mount St. Joseph University and Manchester University in singles. He also defeated Rose-Hulman's Georges Adam 6-1, 6-4.
Along with his partner, senior Jack Ventura-Cruess, Stadnyk posted a 2-1 doubles record, defeating Mount St. Joseph and Manchester 8-1 each and falling to Rose-Hulman 8-3.
Stadnyk is being honored as HCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this year as he was honored during the fourth week of the season.
The Quakers travel to Anderson University for a 4 p.m. match on Monday.
