Men's Tennis Topples Taylor 7-2

UPLAND, Indiana - The Earlham College men's tennis team improved to 7-5 on the season with a 7-2 victory over National Association of Intercolleigate Athletics (NAIA) foe Taylor University on Wednesday afternoon.

The Quakers took two of the three doubles flights. Juniors Vitalii Stadnyk and Vojislav Tatarevic improved to 5-3 as a partnership with an 8-3 win at first doubles over Alex Jung and Juan Ramirez.

Second and third doubles both finished 9-7 with both teams winning one flight. The Trojans took second doubles and sophomore Nicola Manni and freshman Fernando Bulnes Aramburu won third doubles for the Quakers.

Stadnyk downed Ramirez 6-2, 6-3 at first singles for his ninth singles win of the season. Bulnes Aramburu won his eighth singles match of the year, defeating Andrew Danelli 6-1, 6-0 at third singles. Sergeev, Tatarevic, and Manni also won their fourth, fifth, and sixth singles matches respectively.

Taylor got its second match point at second singles as Stephen All edged sophomore Adarsh Singh 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (8).

Earlham improves to 7-5 with the win and travels to Capital University on Saturday.
