Men's Tennis Win Streak Hits a Dozen With 9-0 Sweep at MSJ

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Earlham College men's tennis team's winning streak has reached a dozen matches as the Quakers downed Mount St. Joseph University (MSJ) 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

Junior Vitalii Stadnyk and freshman Aleksandr Sergeev won their second straight doubles matched, sweeping Cooper Wade and Ian Stutz 8-0. Sophomore Adarsh Singh and freshman Joaquin Lerner dispatched Nathan Clark and Guy Watkins 8-2 at second doubles while sophomore Nicola Manni and Tony Faillace 8-1 at third doubles.

The Quakers won all six singles flights in straight sets. MSJ won just nine total games among the six singles flights.

Earlham improves to 17-5 overall and 7-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) competition. The Quakers will conclude their season at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday. The winner of the match earns the HCAC regular season title outright and the top seed for the upcoming HCAC Tournament.
