DELAWARE, Ohio – Nate Papachristos had the top performance of the day for Earlham College men's track and field during Saturday's Ohio Wesleyan Marv Frye Invitational.
Papachristos finished second in the 5000m run with a time of 15:46.03, setting a new personal best mark in the process. Bineyam Tumbo was fifth in the event after finishing in 16:05.28.
Drew Fitzgibbon and Michael Grady turned in the best Quaker performances this season in the 400m dash, finishing eighth (53.97) and ninth (54.35) respectively in the event. Those times rank no. 12 and 13 this season in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
In the relays, the Quakers recorded their best effort of the season in the 4 x 100m with a time of 46.25.
Earlham men's track and field will be back in action on Saturday, April 14, when it travels to Greencastle, Ind., to compete in the Indiana Division III Championship hosted by DePauw University.
