MEET: Day 2 of Washington & Lee University Carnival

THE SHORT STORY: The Quakers' 4 x 100m relay squad turned in the day's highlight for the Earlham College men's track and field team during Saturday competition at the Washington & Lee University Carnival. The meet was not team scored.
ON THE TRACK
- The Earlham team of Sheldan Lindsay, Jake Patton, Justin Kerobo, and Drew FitzGibbon posted a time of 44.49 seconds in the 4 x 100m relay, and finished fourth overall in the event.
- Patton also competed in the 110m hurdles (16.54 seconds), where he placed sixth overall.
- Lindsay ran 11.67 seconds in the 100m dash, placing 20th in the event at the W&L meet.
- Michael Grady posted a time of 2:03.25 in the 800m, finishing 21st in the field.
Earlham men's track and field will be idle from competition next weekend, but will return to the track at a pair of meets the following weekend. The distance runners will travel to St. Louis, Mo., for the Washington University Distance Carnival on Friday, March 29, and the rest of the team will travel to Westerville, Ohio, to compete in the Otterbein April Fools Invitational on Saturday, March 30.
