Kasin Spay topped Earlham with 16 points against the Big Red (1-1) on Schuckman Court in the Athletics and Wellness Center.
Mariah Flynn added 15 points for the Quakers. JaLissa Watt led the way with 11 rebounds and three assists. Maya Luney contributed three assists and three steals.
Earlham started off with an early 4-0 lead after scores by Shania Feathers and Watt. The game was tied for the first time at 6-6 at the 16:08 mark of the first half.
From that time the Quakers led by three points twice with the last advantage of 19-16 coming with 8:41 remaining when Kiara Scott hit a pair of free throws.
By intermission the score was tied for the seventh time at 29-29.
With the score again tied at 35-35 with 16:16 left in the second half, Denison went on a 13-2 run to go on top 48-37 over the next six minutes. The Big Red widened their margin the rest of the way.
The Quakers (0-2) entertain St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Wednesday. The non-conference affair gets underway at 7 p.m.
In the other contest on Sunday, Indiana University-East (4-2) won the opener 96-79 over Heidelberg University (1-1).
