Toresdahl finishes tied for 19th, Quakers eighth, at Earlham Fall Invitational

LIBERTY, Ind. – Earlham College junior Hannah Toresdahl was the top Quaker women's golfer on the individual leaderboard tied for 19th, while Earlham finished eighth as a team, following the completion of the final round of the Earlham Fall Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday at the Liberty Country Club.

Toresdahl matched her Saturday round with another 88 on Sunday, to post a 36-hole score of 176 (+36).

Emma Wilkins also carded an 88 on Sunday and completed the tournament tied for 23rd with a 179 (+39). She climbed three spots on the individual leaderboard in Sunday's second round at the par 70, 5,800-yard Liberty Country Club.

Claire Waggener shot a 101 on Sunday to finish at 205 (+65) for the tournament and was 41st on the leaderboard, while Megan Garner shot a 106 in the final round to post a 206 (+66) over 36 holes and was tied for 42nd. Daniela Joseph rounded out the Earlham five in 45th place, firing a 105 on Sunday to tally a 211 (+71) for the tournament.

The Quakers also had three individuals competing in their home tournament, which served as a preview for the upcoming Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championship at Liberty C.C. in two weeks.

Myra Robinson shot a 113 in Sunday's second round and posted a 225 (+85) over 36 holes, while Natalija Ljutic fired a 117, giving her a 237 (+97) for the tournament. Brittney Chong carded a 117 on Sunday, and finished with a 245 (+105).

Transylvania's Meredith Moir won the tournament with a 152 (+12) over 36 holes, following her 76 in Sunday's final round. She won by six strokes over her nearest competitor, Hanover's Maddison Cody, who fired a 76 on Sunday and had a 158 (+19) for the tournament.

Rose-Hulman and Transylvania were tied atop the team leaderboard with a 640 (+80), and Rose-Hulman was declared the winner by virtue of low round by each team's fifth golfer as a tie-breaker. Earlham was eighth in the field of 10 teams with a 765 (+205).
