Women’s golf sits fourth after round 1 at Heidelberg Fall Invite

TIFFIN, Ohio – Earlham women's golf had three golfers finish round one among the top 20 and were fourth out of 12 teams at the Heidelberg Women's Fall Invitational, which began play on Saturday.

The Quakers carded a 352 (+64) over the first 18 holes on the par 72, 6,005-yard Mohawk Golf & Country Club course, just three strokes behind third-place Allegheny College. Mount St. Joseph led the field of 12 teams after day one with a 342 (+54), followed by College of Wooster (344, +56).

Hannah Toresdahl shot an 86 (+14) in the first round and was the top Earlham competitor on the leaderboard in a tie for 12th place.

Megan Garner and Emma Wilkins each shot an 88 (+16) and were tied for 15th, while Claire Waggener was tied for 31st with a round of 90 (+18). Myra Robinson was tied for 52nd with a 99 (+27).

Earlham concludes play at the Heidelberg Women's Fall Invite on Sunday, Sept. 15., at the Mohawk Golf & Country Club.
