Women’s soccer receives USC Team Ethics & Sportsmanship Award

RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College women's soccer has received the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Team Ethics & Sportsmanship Award for the 2019 season, the association announced late Wednesday.

Earlham was one of 105 men's and women's collegiate programs to receive the award, which is presented to teams for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior, and adherence to the laws of the game.

For the second consecutive year, Earlham women's soccer was a Silver Award honoree in the program. The Quakers received five yellow cards and no red cards over 18 games during the 2018 season.

Earlham women's soccer was one of four programs out of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference to be recognized as part of the USC Team Ethics & Sportsmanship Award program. Defiance College women's soccer joined Earlham as a Silver Award honoree, while the Anderson University men's and women's soccer programs were both Bronze Award recipients.
