RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team will host Ohio Christian University this Friday. The match is slated to start at 1 p.m.
The Teams: Earlham and Ohio Christian. The Quakers are coming off a loss to Thomas More this Wednesday. They are 3-4 on the season. Ohio Christian is 2-3 on the season, but is on a two-match win streak after a 0-3 start.
The Coaches: Shawn Hyden enters his second season as the head women's tennis coach at Earlham. In his first season with the program, Hyden led the men's team to the HCAC Tournament finals for the first time since the 2014-2015 season. This season Hyden led the women's team to its best start since the 2012-2013 season. Brent Martin is in his sixth season as the head coach of the Trailblazers.
The Players: Freshman Alexandra Canaday and Junior Yunjoo Shin continued their winning ways as a doubles team this Wednesday against Thomas More. They will look to extend their win streak to three matches this Friday. Canaday leads the team in doubles wins, while Shin leads in singles wins.
The History: This will be the first meeting between the two teams in recent history.
