RICHMOND, Ind. – Earlham College senior Aishat Sadiq (Richmond, Texas/Carnegie Vanguard) will head to this week's 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships after qualifying in the 100m dash.
Sadiq will be among 22 qualifiers in the 100m preliminaries, which will take place on Friday, May 22, at 3:30 p.m. at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. The event finals will be held on Saturday, May 23, at 1:30 p.m.
Sadiq's season-best mark of 12.14 seconds in the 100m ranks 16th among the 22 qualifiers.
Sadiq will be attempting to become just the second Earlham women's track and field athlete to score points at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships. Sara Bohall qualified for the 2008 NCAA meet in the 400m hurdles, earning All-America honors with a fourth-place finish.
